Supper club secrets
Supper clubs, underground restaurants, secret dining – whatever you want to call it, having a meal in a stranger’s home has rapidly become de rigueur across the Western world.
They are a cross between a restaurant and a dinner party - similar to a restaurant, in that you pay; but like a dinner party, as you are in someone’s house, with an ‘ordinary person’ doing the cooking.
These hugely popular events are usually kept on the down-low as they are not strictly permitted - but luckily, I’m not here to discuss the legalities of organising such an evening. Ultimately, whether you are cooking a meal for a group of strangers, a loved one or your best pals it’s worth getting it right!
Cookery courses are a great way to get to grips with the basics and there are a huge number to choose from. Signing someone up for a cookery course also serves as an original gift idea – which you are likely to benefit from in the taste department!
In the meantime though, it’s tough not to be inspired by the likes of the Salad Club and Ms Marmite Lover – check out their blogs!
